The Zelma East Facility has been upgraded to meet the future demands of the South-East Water Supply System. The mechanical upgrades included the construction, start-up and commissioning of the HDPE and stainless steel piping system that has integrated vertical turbine pumps. When complete the project will have approximately 94 Km of new pipeline running from the Zelma Reservoir to the BHP Billiton Jansen Project. Interwest’s contract included the main pumping station, a remote booster pump station and a metering station for BHP.
